At the Whyte Wyrm, Betty's friends rally around her in comfort as she mourns the lost of Polly and the breaking her mother heart and mental state, she tells them her mothers reaction to the situation and her use of the 'Next to Normal' soundtrack album as a coping mechanism. 
(sung by Alice, Betty, Polly, and Charles) Alice continues to loose herself in the 'Next to Normal' soundtrack when Betty comes home and turns off the record.
(sung by Alice and Betty) Alice reminisce about the past when things were seemingly perfect, yet Betty attempts ground her in reality in an attempt to get her face their current situation.
Tabitha shows her parents the updates she's managed to make while Pop's has been under her management then suggest they have a Mother's Day meal at the shop which they turn down so she introduces Jughead to them as her boyfriend.
(sung by Jughead and Tabitha) Jughead attempts to convince Tabitha that they should be together, that they're perfect for one another.
(sung by Alice, Polly and Betty) Betty finds her mother lost to the world in fantasy as she plays on a new piano.
(sung by Veronica) [cut scene from original airing of episode] After Archie runs out on dinner for work at the fire station, Veronica begins to realize she and Archie are living to different lives while still being in one another lives.
(sung by Alice, Charles and Polly) Alice fantasizes about having a perfect dinner for Mother's Day with all her children.
(sung by Betty) Betty attempts to get her mother the realize that she's living in a fantasy, that Polly and Charles are really there, then suggest that they head into the city for a day together to get away from things.
(sung by Cheryl) Cheryl shows her mother that she's stronger than her.
(sung by Polly and Charles) As Alice attempts to leave with Betty on their planned trip she finds herself drawn in by memories of Polly and Charles calling to her.
(sung by Betty, Polly and Charles) Betty attempts to fight for her mother to stay in reality with her and not live in her fantasy perfect world only to find herself loosing her mother to the ghost memories of her siblings.
(sung by Betty and Kevin) Betty tells Kevin about her and her mother are coping, she tries to comfort her with advice.
(sung by Kevin, Betty, Veronica and Toni) Kevin attempts to give Betty courage to reach out to her mother; Veronica and Toni attempt to make much need decisions in their lives for their future.
(sung by Tabitha and Jughead) Skipping out on dinner with her parents, Tabitha takes a chance on her and Jughead being together as a couple, they kiss.
(sung by Betty) Betty makes a promise to her mother that she'll be there for her.
(sung by Alice and Betty) Alice and Betty attempt to move forward with their lives even if it means that they're just geting by.
At Pop Tate's diner, Tabitha, Jughead and Kevin gather together in comfort after Polly's memorial service.
(sung by entire ensemble) Betty comforts her mother after the memorial service; Archie mops and drinks; Veronica packs her bags; Alice and Betty put the past behind them; Veronica moves out of the Andrews home; Toni and Fangs come together as a family after their love confession; Tabitha serves Kevin comfort in the form of coffee and chat; Cheryl and Britta bond over chess; (flashback) the family and friends of Polly Cooper gather for a memorial service for her to say their goodbyes.
